Future Technologies

Samantha: Bill, it’s amazing how much technology has developed over the last ten years,

isn’t it? Social media, electric cars, smartphones, smartwatches… I can’t even begin to

imagine what unbelievable things will happen in the future!

Bill: Yes, our lives have already changed so much because of new technologies. I’ve always

wanted to see flying cars or lightsabres! Sci-fi movies always look so fun, and they have such

crazy inventions… Do you think we’ll ever get to see these things in real life?

Samantha: I don’t know, but I really hope we do! Just imagine waking up in the morning

and a robot has already made breakfast for you. No more cleaning the house, buying

groceries or doing boring things…

Bill: Oh, that would be really cool! Imagine robots just roaming around the streets! But what

if they decide to turn against us one day like I’ve seen in so many sci-fi films?

Samantha: Those films are all very exaggerated! I suppose you believe we’ll have alien

invasions too?

Bill: Maybe… I’d be excited to see another form of life that we’ve never seen before!

Samantha: Do you really believe in aliens? I’ll never believe that there are green coloured

beings flying around in space looking for planets to destroy!

Bill: Yeah, I do! In fact, I really hope that technology keeps evolving quickly, so we could

finally create a spaceship for travelling to different planets. I’d buy a ticket straight away for

a trip to another planet!

Samantha: Maybe you should call NASA and ask if there will be an opportunity to go soon?

Bill: OK, you can stop making fun of me now…
