Buying a New Pair of Trainers
Josh goes to his favourite shop to buy a new pair of trainers. He picks a pair of trainers and asks the shop assistant if his size is available…
Shop assistant: Hi, do you need any help?
Josh: I really like these trainers. How much are they?
Shop assistant: They’re 60 pounds.
Josh: OK… Do you have them in a size 9?
Shop assistant: I’ll check you for you now… mm... yes, we do have them in a size 9. Do you want to try them?
Josh: Yes, please…
Shop assistant: How are they?
Josh: I like them, but they’re a bit too small. Do you have a size 10?
Shop assistant: Unfortunately, we don’t have a size 10. Hmmm… I could order them today and they will arrive tomorrow morning?
Josh: Yes, please. I’d like to try them.
