Talking about a Special Hobby
Sharon is going to enrol on a cake-decorating course. She bumps into Kate on her way…
Kate: Hi Sharon! Where are you going?
Sharon: Hi Kate! I’m going sign up for a cake-decorating course at the college. Although, because of COVID-19, there are only 10 students allowed on each course, so I really hope I get a place!
Kate: That sounds great! Where did your passion for cake-decorating start?
Sharon: Well, I suppose it grew from learning to bake with my grandma and my mum. I have so many memories of baking in the kitchen when I was younger and experimenting with different ingredients! I enjoyed decorating the most. So, I started teaching myself cake decorating skills. It’s very relaxing…
Kate: I can imagine… But with three children, how do you find time?
Sharon: Well, they’ve also inherited the baking gene! We bake together twice a week, after school. They love it, and it teaches them to be patient too.
Kate: When I bake, it never works out! Maybe you could turn your passion into a career?
Sharon: It would be a dream come true! Maybe one day…
