Talking about Future Careers
Walter and Jessica are talking about different jobs they would like to have in the future…
Walter: Hey, Jessica! I’m just curious… what do you want to do for a living when you’re older?
Jessica: Hey, Walter! That’s a good question. Well, I’d like to go to medical or law school, because I’d like to be either a microsurgeon or a lawyer. They’re both great careers.
Walter: Those are fantastic professions!
Jessica: Yeh, plus I have a sister who is a lawyer and a brother who is a paediatric surgeon so they could help me if I choose one of those career paths. What about you? What job would you like to have in the future?
Walter: Well, I’d love to pursue a career in interior design or in real estate.
Jessica: Those are great professions too!
Walter: Yes, they are. I think either an interior designer or a real estate agent would be the right career choice for me.
Jessica: Good luck with that! You have plenty of time to decide. I have to go to class now because I’m already late…
Walter: Thanks Jessica. Good luck to you too!
Jessica: OK, see you later!
